SUMAC

This ground berry is pleasantly tart and fruity.It is used in Arab and especially Lebanese cooking,where it is used to rub into meat or added to stews and slow cooked dishes. It also makes an excellent condiment by mixing it with fresh thyme and toasted sesame seeds to sprinkle over food or salads.
