'Buddah's hand' or the 'fingered citron' is believed to have come from India and brought to China by Buddhist monks. It has an out-of-this-world flavour reminiscent of citron crossed with lemon and yuzu (and possibly dried walnuts to some). Named for its unique shape that resembles the way fingers and hands look in prayer position. The fruit has long been prized in East Asia because it symbolizes happiness and longevity, and it's often given as an offering in temples and served during Lunar New Year. Try steeped with some ginger and cardamom for a pleasant zesty, warming and sweet tea.
